The New Business Starts Programme which is funded through the Welsh Development Agency offers a tailored, quality based package of support to assist in the creation of a range of new business start-up situations by using the services of qualified business advisers.

It allows flexibility in delivery to ensure that businesses are able to reach their full growth potential by providing support according to individual needs.

How does it work?
Flexibilty is the key to our approach.

Ensuring that the appropriate level of support is provided is crucial to the development of the business proposition. This is determined by evaluation of the business idea and by establishing the commitment of the individuals both in time and personal investment.

An appropriate package of support is agreed with the client and the business adviser.

This will include one-to-one advice on business objective setting, financial management, marketing and support to access investment funding.

NBS Workshops

Basic business skills are developed through interactive workshops.

The workshops given will encompass an understanding of a number of areas including:

• Operations
• Financial Administration
• Costing & Pricing
• Financial Planning
• Know your Market & Competitors

These workshops run monthly at both Rhyl and Ruthin.

The New Business Starts Programme will also support sustainability through ongoing advice and guidance. We will identify and refer you to additional sources of business support within the private and public sector network.
